Predefining screen modes
![]()
Default screen modes and hot keys can be determined before installation by using a configuration file,
(including the ability to use the default values of each workstation)
![]()
Unzip and put this configuration file at the same directory with
Setup.exe when installing,
Download a sample Setup.ini - see the short "how to use" instructions
inside this file,
![]()
It will create a registry key that can also be edited (but only if you know
what you are doing):
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicroMighty\Screen Mode Switch\Modes]
a "DEFAULT" value or an empty one will set a local default value the next time
the application is executed.
![]()
Hot key values (both Key
and Modifier) can be found on:
Screen modes options => Configure screen modes => Check
![]()
Important:
Naturally, not all display adapters can support the same
features (for example: 1280 x 960 resolution),
please note that when executing the application for the
first time all the "DEFAULT" values are changed
according to the available
resources on the local workstation so it may NOT fit other workstations,
because of that, it is recommended to do one of the following:
![]()
1. On the last stage of
installation choose NOT
to "Run Screen Mode Switch now",
that way you will have
a chance to
export or save the key for distribution before it had
changed.
![]()
2. Edit the "Screen Modes" key in registry after it was
changed - set "DEFAULT" or blank value for
all those properties that you would like to be given the
default values in all other workstations.
